    Water determination with Karl Fischer titration Principle: Karl Fischer titration is used for many substances as a reference method, and is a chemical analysis based on the oxidation of sulfur dioxide by iodine in a methanolic hydroxide solution. Scope of Applications for Karl Fischer Method The Karl Fischer method can be used with a wide range of substances. However, the method depends on a kind of iodometry based on the reaction between the Karl Fischer reagent and water.
